Further to the announcement that the Football Association of Ireland is joining us at Jurys Inn in Birmingham at the end of January (item on Events page)we are delighted to confirm that, as well as the CEO of the Football Association of Ireland (FAI), John Delaney and his colleagues Gerry Reardon, Regional manager, Dublin, Paul Martyn, National Volunteer Coordinator, Ray Houghton (Former Republic of Ireland International) Don Givens, Republic of Ireland under 21 manager and, to be confirmed, Liam Brady, our invitation has been accepted by the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Birmingham, Cllr. Michael Wilkes and Mrs Vivienne Wilkes and the First Secretary from the Embassy of Ireland, Gerry Kelly.
After a VIP champagne reception sponsored by The Harp newspaper, Gerry and Paul will deliver a presentation, stage sponsored by Chris O'Connor Promotions, on the new Aviva Stadium in Dublin, new home for Irish international football and rugby, due to open in 2010. After the presentation there will be a Questions and Answers panel with John and his colleagues.
Paddy Foy, MRISSC Chair, says “We are really looking forward to an exciting evening where members, sponsors and friends can relax and network at the VIP champagne reception and then enjoy hearing the latest about the Aviva stadium and the Irish teams.
